A year ago today, I embarked on a journey into the unknown. I felt a little like Red Riding Hood with a basket full of dreams walking into the wild. And the journey since then has been pretty spectacular.
It sounds cliched I know, but it’s been a journey of self discovery. I’ve had to build, destroy and rebuild much of who I am and who I work so hard to be. The image of the woman staring back in the mirror is oftentimes a surprise to me – both in ways good and bad. The great thing though is everyday I feel closer to being the version of me I can accept and love.
As I get ready to enter the second year of the blog and the last of my twenties, I cannot help but feel an immense sense of gratitude for everything that has come my way. A year ago, I had no idea what WordPress was – let alone hosting a website on it.
I’ve learned that growth can only happen when you step out of your comfort zone and let go into the unknown.
And you know the beauty of letting go? You’re so pleasantly surprised to see how many people are there to catch you even before you fall.
