I’m not going to lie, it’s been a particularly rough winter. And trying to keep any semblance of style through slush and dangerously icy snow had me wanting to stay curled up in bed. But then real life doesn’t allow for 12 hour marathons of Game of Thrones everyday and bills have to be paid. So I managed to drag myself out of the apartment. These photos were shot on a particularly snowy day around Brooklyn and I consider the fact that I did not fall flat on my butt, a major success.
If you make it here, you can make it anywhere. Having lived in New York City for over five years now, I can safely say that surviving this city requires armour – both physical and emotional. Needless to say, my armour manifests itself in my clothing choices (let’s ignore the fact that I look like a Sumo wrestler; we’re going with the word armour dammit).
